Lesser-Known Ring-Slingers

You’re likely familiar with many Green Lanterns–Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Guy Gardner, Kyle Rayner, Simon Baz, Jessica Cruz, Alan Scott–and with the release of a new Green Lantern Corps series, we thought it’d be fun to explore other ring-wearers across the spectrum:

Soranik Natu (Green/Yellow): A neurosurgeon and daughter of Sinestro, Soranik Natu fought alongside Hal Jordan many times as Green Lanterns. Later, her father would fall in battle, leaving Soranik to take the reins as the new leader of the Yellow Lanterns.

Jack T. Chance (Green): From the crime-ridden planet of Garnet, Jack T. Chance once crossed paths with Lobo and barely survived to tell the tale.

G’Nort (Green): An anthropomorphic dog, G’Nort is a brave and honorable team member. He would later lose his ring and join the Darkstars, a group of intergalactic policemen.

Jade (Green): Daughter of Alan Scott, Jade can manifest fiery green energy constructs. She once lost her powers, and her boyfriend (at the time) Kyle Rayner gave her a spare power ring, making her the first female Green Lantern from Earth.

Sodam Yat (Green): A Daxamite chosen by the Guardians to be the host of the Ion entity (the sentient willpower that powers Green Lanterns). He possesses similar abilities to Kryptonians.

Dex-Starr (Red): Originally a pet cat, Dex-starr was given a red lantern ring by Atrocitus to exact revenge on the intruder that killed his owner. He fights alongside other red lanterns wearing his ring on his tail.

Black Hand (Black): From an early age, William Hand had a fascination with death, and deemed the Lanterns to be a threat. After stealing an energy-absorption weapon from Atrocitus, William seeks to use this device in his battle against the light.

Brother Warth (Blue): An alien who closely resembles an elephant, Warth was the second recruit to the Blue Lantern Corps. He protects the Blue Lantern planet of Odym when the corps leader Saint Walker is away.

Fatality (Violet): Born into royalty and set to claim a throne, Yrra Cynril clashed with Kyle Rayner and was later a love interest for John Stewart. She later became captured by the Zamarons and was brainwashed into joining the Star Sapphire Corps.

There’s a galaxy full of ring-slingers, so you never know what Lantern heroes or villains will show up!
