According to legend, Ideal Toys needed to quickly pivot after losing the Evel Knievel license. They reached out to their contacts at Marvel, and a joint venture was born. While they never achieved the same level of success as ROM, they held their own in a scuffle against Ghost Rider. The team made their final appearance in Thing #28 (June 1985), renamed as the Thunderiders after Marvel and Ideal Toys parted ways. But to us, they'll always be Team America.
